District 9550 Rotary Foundation Alumni
Welcome to the Rotary Foundation Alumni website of Rotary District 9550.
We are endeavoring to locate past recipients of Rotary Foundation Awards, and also members of other Districts that may be residing in our district, so we are able to assist with renewing friendships, and provide a resource for our District.
These associations are a great way for alumni to stay in touch with each other and to continue to build their relationships with Rotary. Associations are often affiliated with a Rotary district, although some reach out to include alumni from an entire country.
Rotary Foundation Educational Programs have a way of forging bonds between alumni and Rotarians that can last a lifetime. Former Ambassadorial Scholars, Rotary World Peace Fellows, and Group Study Exchange team members are often interested in joining a Rotaract or Rotary club, or a Foundation alumni association. Many Rotaract and Rotary clubs, in turn, are interested in inviting alumni to become members.
The Rotary Foundation Global Alumni Service to Humanity Award was created to honor an outstanding former Foundation program recipient whose extraordinary service to humanity and professional achievements exemplify the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self.
More than 105,000 people call themselves Rotary Foundation alumni. They include former participants of the following programs:
- Ambassadorial Scholarships
- Carl P. Miller Discovery Grants
- Group Study Exchange
- Rotary Grants for University Teachers
- Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies Program
- Rotary World Peace Fellowships (Rotary Centers for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution)
- Volunteer Service Grants
